Ideas for Celebrating Labor Day
Labor day also marks the unofficial end of the Summer season for many, and Many of us plan on BBQs and pool parties. So, how do you spend the day? Here are some ideas:
- Have a classic BBQ. You can support local businesses by finding local produce and picking dishes that are in season. Bonus points if you get to celebrate local farmers on Labor Day! There’s no better way to say goodbye to the Summer than an outdoor BBQ with friends.
- Throw a pool party. There are a few pools in the Cincinnati area that don’t close until Labor Day. If you’ve got kids, a pool might be the perfect way to end the close of Summer and celebrate their first few weeks of school.
- Plan a picnic. The weather is still relatively mild here in Ohio, so planning a family or friend picnic at the park would be a great way to celebrate Labor Day.T
- Go camping. Consider a weekend to get away from nature! Reservations for campgrounds have been challenging to get since COVID, but they tend to slow down towards the end of the season.
- Plan a weekend getaway. If camping isn’t your speed, you can plan a road trip or visit another city or state over the 3-day weekend.
